Walking and crossing the parade route
You can cross the parade route on foot when officers and conditions permit. Wait for a safe gap, follow officers’ directions, and never cross between floats or push past a barricade. Plan on some walking to reach your spot. Choose a distance that suits your group’s mobility, the weather and your comfort.
Plan your outing
- Choose a meeting point on the same side of the route as your group. Cross only when officers and conditions permit.
- Leave enough time to walk around a closure rather than relying on crossing at one specific intersection.
