Watching a parade
Show up along the parade route and find a spot with room for your group. Most spectators watch from public space; paid stands and private options also exist. Bring a bag for throws, water, snacks and a portable chair for the wait. Stand for the procession if you can, or sit farther back. Leave room for bands, floats and other spectators.
Plan your outing
- Choose a block on the selected parade’s route, then find a restroom before settling in.
- Pack water, snacks, a bag for throws and a chair for the wait. Keep the path clear for bands and other spectators.
