Finding a comfortable spot
If a block feels crowded or unwelcoming, try another block and introduce yourself to people nearby. Keep public space open to others. City guidance prohibits enclosing it as a private campsite: set out personal items no earlier than four hours before a parade, keep intersections clear, and place ladders at least six feet behind the curb.
